After 4 days of driving and silly challenges in a Furry Corsa and Micra,we made it all the way to Krakow.

Before I get onto the last leg of our trip (which included a brothel) I thought you would like to see some pictures of what we got upto on our rally:

Calais - Strasbourg
Strasbourg - Innsbruck
Innsbruck - Bratislava
Bratislava - Krakow

Now these aren't the only pictures, we had almost 10 cameras between us so there are loads still to come. These are just what I managed to grab when I wasn't driving or sleeping. I'll try and get some more up soon.

The last drive was uneventful except for some funny Polish houses and almost running a border guard over. We got into Krakow and completed our final challenges, getting a photo of the teams next to the castle and getting a photo of a copper with bunny ears. It's illegal to take pictures of policemen in uniform in Poland so this was a bit of a challenge.

We parked up, got changed and headed to Rally meeting point for the presentations and a well earned beer.

The good news was Mutz Nutz and Catz Whizkaz came in 1st and 3rd out of 30 cars, completing all challenges (except one). The Mutz stole it as they had a smaller engine and managed to get a goat into the car for one of the challenges but this was a victory for both teams. Team Crayola won the award for 'Spirit of Ramshackle'. 5 guys dressed in morph suits in a Citron AX for 4 days, this was well deserved. Team America won best banger, despite them having to remove the 'engines' and 'missiles' and replace 2 tyres after getting nicked by the Austrian police.

We stumbled back to our Hostel via a pub (which turned out to be a brothel, oooer) and a club and a few more well deserved Jagerbombs. Both teams have surpassed our original fundraising targets for Cystic Fibrosis and Guide Dogs for the Blind, the and want to thank you all for your donations and support. If you haven't sponsored us yet, then there is still time. See the links at the top of the page!ost of all I would like to thank Eilidh, Donna, Gordon, Callum, Charlotte and Helen for 4 days of immense fun. Here's to next year guys!

A quick post....

Apologies for the lack of updates, time has been tight and WiFi sparse.

Well we've made it to Bratislava with little incident folks. Well except losing our brakes on the Grobglockner, Austria's tallest mountain pass.

Calais to Strasbourg involved a loooong journey through France, stopping in Reimes for some challenges involving Mentos and Coke.

Strasbourg to Innsbruck was stunning and took in a bit of Germany's Black Forest. Innsbruck saw planking elevated to an official event in the Catz Whizkaz and Mutz Nutz team.

Innsbruck to Bratislava was utterly breath taking. We went up and down the Grobglockner, Austria's tallest mountain pass and had a naked snowball fight at the top to complete one of our challenges and got a goat into Mutz nutz (the Micra) to complete another challenge. The goat almost took out the windscreen, sat nav and Eilidh.

Updating this is hard work on a phone tho!

Tonight we sneaked into yet another hotel with 7 folks, booked for 2x3. I got the bunk bed and H and the Smithibalds got the 'Treble' bed.

We all headed into an Aussie bar for registration and a beer and met up with other Ramshacklers and their crazy machines.

So far we've seen a Toy Story stretchy dog Volvo limo party car, Milky Way red car and blue car convertible Ford Escorts, Top Gun Fiat Chinqichento, Red Dwarf Clio and loads more. Utter amazing silliness.

There is even a Volvo dressed as swiss cheese so no longer will The Mutz Nutz get all the fun chasing the Catz Whizkaz!

Straight away Mutz Nutz is in 1st on points (old and small CC) with Catz Whizkaz in 4th. Helps that everyone elses motors are newer and bigger engined.

We received our race bibles today. They included all the rules and regs about being nice to the foreignlanders etc and details of how to achieve bonus points. All must be photographed. My favourite (being a Welshman) was the livestock section: Livestock must be in the car with the door shut. Chickens or foul - 50 points; sheep - 60 points; calf or pony - 70 points... Challenge accepted!

7am start tomorrow, I'm Des and its a long drive to Strazbourg so I'de better get some zzzzzz's.... I have the promise of a notebook tomorrow/ Saturday so hope to get some pictures up soon.

Thanks for following and ignoring spelink miztakes etc. I'm doing this all on my phone :s

Budget accommodation in France

Read reviews from other Travellerspoint members.

Kent has no toilets.

The quest for a pee before Dover.

Early start this morning, departed at 8AM from the outskirts of Leicester. Got away with the extra person in the room. The Smithibalds took the sofa and we lucked out with the double bed.

Motorway service 'food' is getting silly so were on the prowl for a Tescos as soon as we hit Dover and plan on stocking up on loads of British food. Marmite, Picallili and HP sarnies for the next 4 days then...

Stopped for a coffee earlier and a bus load of Japanese tourist lived up to their stereotype, snapping pictures and doin V signs. Bless.

We're not far from Dover and that coffee was a bad idea. It seems Kentish folk don't pee or pop. Both cars passengers are busting for the loo but we can't find one. Fingers ( and legs) crossed we do soon...

I though France was more....French.

[b]Bonjour from ze back seat of my furry car.[\b]

No were not in France. I missed the memo about staying the night in sunny Leicester. Calais bound in the morning.

Despite a delay in departure and having to return for the Sword of Omens (my bad...), everything has gone well.

We have had plenty of amazed looks from fellow motorists and even fits of laughter from 3 Spanish girls at the petrol station.

Everyone wants a photo of our furry cars! This is great because we shove our collecting buckets in their face and say "Geez yer cash pal".

We're Travelodge bound tonight. There are 6 beds booked and 7 Ramshacklers. Guess who's sneaking in...?
